Walking tightropes, jumping rings of fire, and taming lions are all things that people attending a circus can expect. Starlight Band is putting all of that excitement into a musical evening the whole family can enjoy with “Under the Big Top,” as part of Starlight Concerts’ free summer series. The concert begins at 8 on Tuesday the 10th at River West Festival Park in Tulsa.

“Under the Big Top” kicks off the second half of Starlight Concerts’ summer-long series that offers family-friendly fun for everyone. The evening of circus-themed music will include famous songs like “In the Center Ring,” “Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite,” and “Cirque du Soleil.” L. Dale Barnett, Starlight’s Music Director, says “We want to give listeners the same feelings they have when they go to the circus – excitement, danger, thrills.”

Concession stands will be open and door prizes will be given away throughout the evening. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and even their dogs for a night full of exciting music themed around circus fun.
