GRCC Rodeo

The 8th annual Green Country Classic Ranch Rodeo has scheduled two days of packed events, April 26th and 27th at the Claremore Expo Center. The Cowboy Trade Show opens on Friday from 3pm to 10pm and Saturday from 9am to 10pm. It is free and open to the public.

Friday night kicks off the GCCRR rodeo at 7pm and then again on Satufday at 6pm. The GCCRR is sanctioned by the Working Ranch Cowboys Association (WRCA)which is the most prestigious ranch rodeo circuit in the United States. The winner from this event as well as the other WWRC ranch rodeos will be invited to compete in the World Championship Ranch Rodeo Finals held in Amarillo, TX. In 2009, the Green County Classic Ranch Rodeo’s winning team made it all the way to the World Championship.

In addition, The Junior Ranch Rodeo Association will host their junior rodeo on Saturday beginning at 11 at the Expo Arena. Tickets purchased from all these events are given back in the form of WRCA Cowboy Crisis fund, up to five $1,000.00 scholarships given to members of the JRRA as well as other charitable organizations as the Gatesway Foundation and the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
