Hillcats Wrap Up Semester by Giving

More than 60 student-athletes recently came together to wrap and pack over 90 shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child project by Samaritan’s Purse. This shoebox wrapping party was a first for the Hillcat Athletic Department, but the idea has been around for years. Since 1993, nearly 100 million children in over 130 countries have received a simple shoebox gift from Operation Christmas Child. Broken Arrow re-imagines Main Street

Broken Arrow’s new Rose District opened for a preview to a walking tour hosted by Tulsa Young Professionals and the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce this week. Mayor Craig Thurmond was on hand to welcome visitors to Broken Arrow’s reimagined and recently renovated downtown area on Main Street. Main Street Tavern has served as the anchor to the Rose District as other developers began to consider a move. It’s a great concept and one that MTV made wildly popular in the 1980s. New Comedy in Tulsa

Tulsa’s newest destination for comedy opened with a bang last week and featured several unique performances and showcased a lot of local talent. Nestled right next to El Guapo’s at 1st and Elgin, The Comedy Parlor is Tulsa’s second comedy club and the only one located downtown. It’s intimate space and diverse calendar is reminiscent of New York’s famous Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. RSU Theatre presents “The Lion in the Winter”

It’s contemporary comedy about the 12th century….is that possible?
