Sundance Foley RSU

Musicologist, professor, and RSU Radio host Dr. Hugh Foley makes his Sundance debut in the feature film “This May be the Last Time”. The documentary explores the disappearance of director Sterlin Harjo’s father in the 1960s and the music the creek Indians used to express their grief. Foley, a professor of Native American studies and Oklahoma music historian, says that this music may be the earliest example of a truly American genre.

Foley will travel to the 2014 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah this January to view the film. The feature was one of only 119 entries chosen from ten thousand submissions and is the first full length documentary from This Land Films.
