Sometimes there are bands that completely surprise you. Junior Prom falls right in to that category. While the name may bring back memories of high school, their music is progressive and moving. Their lyrics contain playful humor with exceptional vocals and a crisp instrumental sound. The duos first EP was just released and already has them playing sold out shows. Ghost Beach is a unique electronic music duo comprised of Josh Ocean and Eric Mendelsohn. They incorporate soaring synths, guitars and harmonies which are heavily inspired by 80’s music. In fact, Mendelsohn admits that the group greatly enjoys writing pop music even though the sound that is coming out may be different. Their first full length album called Blonde was just released in early March and it is an upbeat, exciting, and fun project from beginning to end. Symphony to perform at RSU

It promises to be everything from classical to modern movie themes on Saturday, March 15th as the Rogers State University Music Program partners with the Claremore Symphony League to host a concert by the Tulsa Symphony Brass Quintet and Woodwind Quintet. Following the concert, a "Meet and Greet" reception will be held in the Foundations Art Gallery located in Baird Hall. Refreshments will be served.
