The Cure have announced 26 shows in 22 North American cities in 2016, with one yet to be announced in Seattle, Washington. The tour takes them from New Orleans to the West Coast, north to Canada, before making its way to an end in Florida. Nearby stops include Austin on May 13, Houston on May 14, Dallas on May 15, El Paso on May 17, and Kansas City on June 8. This tour is the band’s first major North American tour since 2008.

The band, which became a staple of the early 1980’s gothic rock and darkwave genre, will play songs spanning their 37-year, 13-album career. A press release from the band claims the show will include “hits, rarities, favourites, and as yet unreleased tracks in a brand new stage production.” Robert Smith will be joined on stage by longtime members Simon Gallup on bass, Roger O’Donnell on keyboards, and drummer Jason Cooper. Reeves Gabrels, who has played with the group since 2012, will take on the role of lead guitarist.
