L.A. based indie rockers, Raw Fabrics, are looking to improve on their popularity with the recent release of their second EP. Plastic Joy, which became available in late 2015, is a followup to their well received 2014 album, Gold Handcuffs.  Raw Fabrics formed in 2013 and are comprised of three musicians in their early twenties. Wakarusa Music Festival Canceled in 2016

The Wakarusa music festival will not return in 2016. In an open letter posted to their Facebook page, the event’s organizers blamed dishonest partners on the demise of the festival. The music and camping festival had been part of a small group of festivals happening annually at Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas. Waka’s sister festival, Phases of the Moon, was canceled earlier this year only six weeks before its scheduled dates. Oklahoma Well Represented at Folk Alliance International

The Oklahoma Room at Folk Alliance International has announced this year’s performances. The set of performances are curated by representative from Horton Records, the Woody Guthrie Center, and Tulsa radio program “Folk Salad”. So far, nearly 30 musicians have been announced to play this year’s event.
