Blue Whale Comedy Festival Returns to Downtown Tulsa

Need a laugh? Oklahoma’s biggest comedy festival returns for a fifth year and we wanted to let you know what is happening at the Blue Whale Comedy Festival. This event is held at different venues in the Tulsa Arts District. The festival brings together hilarious, talented people that are sure to bring the comic relief during Labor Day Weekend.

Here is your guide to the 2018 Blue Whale Comedy Festival:

Friday:

The Okie Homie Comedy Showcase will be 5 to 7 pm at the Soundpony Lounge. This regional talent showcase features the amazing talent in Oklahoma. Free event and must be 21+.

Steven Castillo and Marcella Arguello with special guests will be performing 6:30 to 8 pm and Flula Borg with special guests will be starting at 8 until 9:15 pm on Cain’s Side Stage.

Tig Notaro with Sheng Wang and special guests will be performing at Cain’s Ballroom at 9:30 until 11 pm.

Saturday:

More local talent will be at the Okie Homie Comedy Showcase at Soundpony Lounge starting at 6 and ending at 8 pm. The Soundpony Comedy Hour starts at 8:15 until 9:15 pm.

BWCF 2018 and Ok So Story Slam presents NO JOKE: Comics Telling Real Stories starts at 5:30 and ends at 7:00 pm on Cain’s Side Stage.

Janelle James with a special guest is next on Cain’s Side Stage performing at 7:30 pm.

At 8:30 pm, The New Negroes from Comedy Central with special guests will be taking the stage at 8:30 and ends at 9:30 pm.

Maria Bamford with Jackie Kashian and special guests will be taking the stage at Cain’s Ballroom at 9:30 pm.

 

There will be an official after-party starting at 11:00 both nights at Inner Circle Vodka Bar and Soundpony Lounge.
