RSU Radio Christmas Lineup

Just like on Christmas Eve, this weekend’s holiday lineup has us too excited to sleep, so Christmas has come early to the station! This year, we’re bringing you some of our specialty shows, sprinkled with a little extra cheer.

SAT 8:00 a.m./SUN 12:00 p.m. 

Cherokee Voices, Cherokee Sounds, hosted by Dennis Sixkiller, features familiar carols performed by the Cherokee National Youth Choir.

SAT 9:00 a.m.
Travel back to Christmas past Christmas Carol-style.  Host, Rockin’ Gary is playing old-school Christmas rock classics on Hillcat Sockhop.

SAT 12:00 p.m.
Dig! celebrates the warm, fuzzy feelings of the season with a Peace, Love, and Brotherhood edition of the show.

SAT 4:00 p.m. / MON 1:00 a.m.
No need to brave the cold, Beale Street Caravan is serving the holiday spirit through blues and jazz.

SAT 5:00 p.m. / MON 8:00 p.m.
Catch a holly-jolly edition of HiFi Heresy.  The Reverend Dr Ray will be giving the gift of good ol’ rock n’ roll to kick off this holiday lineup.

 

On Sunday, sleep in, make yourself a mug of cocoa, and wear your coziest pajamas; we’ve got your festive soundtrack covered.

E-Town’s hosts, Nick and Helen Forster, delve into the best tracks from the show’s past during this holiday special.

SUN 1:00 p.m.
During Planet Nouveau, Cade is spinning your festive favorites from the 80’s.  These synth-infused classics are sure to be on everyone’s wishlist.

SUN 4:00 p.m.
Only Oklahoma host, Katie, will be stuffing stockings with fresh local finds.  Tune in to this special local episode to unwrap a present from some of your favorite Okies!

SUN 5:OO p.m.
Gender Journey is bringing you covers of Christmas standards and original songs exclusively from female artists.

SUN 7:00 p.m. / MON 2:00 a.m.
We’re dreaming of a (Don) White Christmas!  Tulsa legend, Don White, brings season’s greetings and grooves as he plays everything from classic country to country rock carols.

SUN 9:00 p.m.
Ozark Highlands presents an eclectic Christmas.  Their artists reflect on the last four decades and play rare and traditional folk tunes.  Be sure to tune in to discover new holiday favorites.

SUN 10:00 p.m.
The International American Music Show, hosted by Michael Parks, features Americana-style covers from international artists.  Check out artists from Canada, Holland, Australia, and more with their takes on festive songs.

TUES 12 a.m.If you’re waiting up for Santa, turn on The Midnight Special to hear a holiday-meets-folk program complete with comedy to bring a smile to the face of even the sourest Scrooge.

TUES 6 p.m.
Tip Toasty is bringing Christmas with an edge on Riot Radio.  Punk and ska meet the most wonderful time of the year for two hours.
