RSU Radio to air “This Land Radio”

The new radio show that focuses on life and culture in Middle America, “This Land Radio,” will begin airing on RSU Radio starting Saturday, June 1st at 2pm. “This Land Radio” is created and produced by Sarah Geis and Abby Wendle, who are both audio producers for the Tulsa-based media company This Land Press. RSU Hillcats compete in the NAIA World Series for second year!

RSU will face the Lewis-Clark State College at 9pm tonight(7pm PDT) in the final game of the opening day of play in the 57th Avista-NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. RSU will be there, on the radio, for all action played by the Hillcats hopefully to the last win! With a win, the Hillcats will play at 8:30pm on Saturday. Oklahoma Tornado Relief Concerts

Oklahomans have been coming out in full force to help their neighbors in the wake of the recent tornado outbreak that devastated the Moore-Oklahoma City area. Several benefit concerts, featuring many local and national acts, are being organized to help the victims. Backwoods Bash This Weekend!

Since 2008, Backwoods Bash has been bringing Oklahoma the best in jam bands, red dirt, and reggae together for its annual music festival. The three day event will be held on Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-27, at the Old Walnut Creek State Park on Keystone Lake. Featuring an array of local talent, Backwoods Bash supports the Symposium of International Arts, Music and Entertainment’s (SIAME) Foundation. Comedy Night Coming to RSU

If you think laughter is the best medicine, then get your next dose on Thursday the 25th at Rogers State University. Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority is presenting Comedy Night at 7:00 in Will Rogers Auditorium. The night will include four acts, some with multiple comedians. Ladybug Run Postponed Until May 5th

Two Rogers State University student organizations are teaming up to host a race with a cause this weekend. Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority and Gay-Straight Alliance are hosting Ladybug Run on Sunday, May 5th at 6:30 in the evening. The 5K race will take participants throughout RSU’s Nature Reserve. Dr. Kruse Rocks at EMP

RSU professor Dr. Holly Kruse will represent the university at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum EMP Pop Conference in Cleveland April 19th and 20th. Kruse will be a part of a round table discussion entitled “Is a World of "Posts" a Post-Canon World?”. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s education program has become one of the most celebrated and award-winning fine arts museums in the nation.
