Glenpool celebrates a historic local event with the 34th annual Black Gold Days. The event celebrates Glenpool’s discovery of oil in 1905 and is held at the fittingly named Black Gold Park. The celebration includes a carnival, live music, a parade, and the all-new Mr. and Miss Black Gold Pageant. Black Gold Days opens on the June 14 with a carnival and the new pageant. SunFest, “Oklahoma’s Biggest Outdoor Picnic”, features activities for all ages at Bartlesville’s Sooner Park June 1 through 3.
