Indie rock legends, Sleater-Kinney make a triumphant return to the alternative rock scene with their new album, No Cities To Love. The all female band consists of Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein, who play the guitar and sing, along with Janet Weiss on the drums. Many will recognize Brownsein from the hit television comedy, Portlandia, that she not only starred in from 2011-2015, but also co-created with Saturday Night Live alumnus Fred Armisen. Alternative rock group Dorothy, which hails from Los Angeles, California, released their debut EP in December of 2014. Backwoods Music Festival Announces Initial Lineup

It is never too early to start thinking about music festivals. One of Oklahoma's fine fests, Backwoods Music Festival, formerly known as Backwoods Bash has announced the first round of artists. Backwoods is a three day event that happens in Agra, Oklahoma from September 4th through 6th. The festival has been held in various locations over the past six years. Rogers State University plans to still “rolls out the FUN” regardless of the weather for this year's Homecoming Pep Rally and Hillcat Alley festivities. The Pep Rally will now be held at the Will Rogers Auditorium.
