SummerStage 2013 has kicked into high gear in Tulsa. It opened last week with a full run of free performances of Tulsa Shakespeare in the Park’s production of “Much Ado About Nothing” at the popular Tulsa Park, Guthrie Green. deadCENTER in Review

After attending 3 out of the 5 days that the deadCENTER Film Festival was bringing some of the best in Oklahoma filmmaking together across the better portion of Oklahoma City, I left with an even greater respect for the art and a better understanding of how great Oklahoma is for filmmaking. Noodling Anyone?

The “World’s Richest Noodling Tournament” will be in Claremore, June 15th at the Expo Center. For those beginners, a two-day noodling course is also being offered and focusing on safety and techniques. The 48 hour tournament begins on Thursday, June 13th at 6pm with the weigh-in on Saturday, June 15th from 4 to 6pm. Noodlers will want to check in only their largest fish and they can only be caught using the noodling techniques. Clogging & Fiddling on Grand Lake

This year's American Heritage Music Festival will be held June 6th - 8th at the Grove Civic Center with evening activities and entertainment at Snider's camp on Graned Lake. The highlight of the event will be the Grand Lake National Fiddle and clogging contests with prizes over $1,000 each. Despite all the bad weather recently, the Broken Arrow Arts & Humanities Council along with the BA Parks & Recreation department, will host the 2nd Annual "Chalk it Up!" June 7th and 8th. This year's festival will feature a variety of artists, entertainers and vendors in the recently appointed Rose District of downtown BA.
