Outdoor Sporting Expo comes to Claremore

Despite the cold weather, fans of the outdoors can expect a variety of activities at the Outdoor Sporting Expo this weekend. The Expo begins Friday the 1st and ends on Sunday at Claremore Expo Center. PsySSR hosts Family Bowling Night in Bartlesville

PsySSR (Psychology Students for Social Responsibility) are hosting a Family Bowling Night on Sunday at the Red Apple Bowling Alley in Bartlesville. The event runs from 3:00pm to 5:30pm and costs $5.00 per person. This event is a fundraiser for the RSU PsySSR chapter and includes prizes for the best average scores in three different age categories: 12 & under; 13 years – 17 years; 18 and older. RSU Radio Goes Theatre!

RSU Radio staff members Josh Gammon, David Prock, and Garrett Powders will attend the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival February 25 – March 3 in Shreveport, Louisiana with the RSU Theatre Program to compete for scholarship awards. Garrett Powders was nominated for an Irene Ryan Award for his role as Baltus Van Tassel in RSU’s original production of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”. Travis McClearen In Studio

Local artist Travis McClearen stopped by the station to give us an in studio performance. After spending some time in Colorado for the last few years, Travis has returned to Oklahoma to form Travis McClearen and the Whiskey River Bandits. Without wasting time they jumped in the recording studio and are working on an album. Five RSU Students to be honored at OAB/OBEA Student Awards Ceremony

RSU students Garrett Powders, Josh Gammon, David Prock, Emily Mahan and Hannah Westlund will be awarded with three 1st Place, one 2nd Place and one 3rd Place award on March 13th at the Old Will Rogers Theatre in Oklahoma City during the annual Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters and the Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association’s student awards ceremony. RSU to Recognize 2012 World Series Team Sunday

Heathyr Chenoweth: Seasoned City

RSU alumna Heathyr Chenoweth is doing big things in the art world. The third installment of her “Seasoned City” series opens on Friday the 15th at Circle Cinema in downtown Tulsa. Chenoweth’s newest exhibit features hot rod paintings. A few of the pieces were created using a technique she’s began experimenting with – paper collages. Chenoweth says these are “never-before-seen paintings hot off the easel,” and 15% of sales will support Circle Cinema. Royal Aills named new General Manager at RSU Public TV

Rogers State University has named a television executive with more than two decades of broadcast and communications management experience as the new general manager for RSU Public Television. Royal Aills has extensive experience as a manager for both private and public broadcast stations, including seven years as station manager for Oklahoma Education Television Authority's operations in Tulsa.
