Residential Life Offers Food Pantry for Students

RSU’s Residential Life is sponsoring a food pantry to provide campus residents in need the opportunity to get food they are unable to buy due to financial hurdles. Any student who lives on campus may take advantage of this program, known as "Food for Thought." Donations can be brought to the Residential Life Clubhouse Monday through Thursday 8A -10P and Friday 8A to 5P. RSU Holiday Student Art Show and Sale

Looking for a unique Christmas gift? RSU’s annual Holiday Student Show and Sale may have just what you’re looking for. All types of student artwork will be available for be on sale including photographs, original printmaking pieces, pottery, hand-built clay works, paintings, drawings and much more. Again this year, the Fine Arts department will be hosting a competition for those signed up for the Studies at Large in Italy 2013, with the winner or winners receiving credit towards the cost of the program. RSU “lights up” for annual Holiday on the Hill

Rogers State University will celebrate the beginning of the holiday season with its annual "Holiday on the Hill" on Tuesday, November 27th in front of Preparatory Hall. The ceremony will begin at 5:30pm and is free to the public. The campus lighting ceremony will feature performances of holiday classics, a reading of "'Twas the Night before Christmas" and opportunities for children to have their photo taken with Santa Claus. New “Stray Cats” Campaign

Rogers State University has launched a new initiative to reconnect with alumni who have lost touch with their alma mater. The "Stray Cat Campaign" will utilize the RSU website,RSU Radio website, social media, direct mail and the ever-growing RSU alumni network to locate and welcome back lost alumni. The "Stray Cat Campaign" will seek out lost alumni of RSU and its predecessor institutions – Claremore Junior College, Rogers State College and Rogers University – dating back to 1972. A Night of Comedy Comes to RSU

Thursday night will be full of laughs as Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority presents A Night of Comedy at the Will Rogers Auditorium at 7:07. The night will feature four local comedians from Tulsa’s Loony Bin Comedy Club, as well as various regional vnues. Rogers State University will host the second annual Business, Technology and Sport Management Industry Day on Wednesday, November 14th on the Claremore campus. The day’s events include a career, internship and graduate school fair from 9 to 11am in Herrington Hall. Hillcat Basketball is back on RSU Radio

Hillcat basketball is back, and you can hear the games right here on RSU Radio! The season officially begins October 30th, with the men’s team taking on Central Baptist at the Claremore Expo Center. The women play at the University of Tulsa on Halloween night. Both games begin at 7:00P. Homecoming is set for November 10th with the women and men taking on Northwestern Oklahoma State at 2 and 4, respectively. “Paints the town Blue” Homecoming 2012

RSU will be “painting the town blue” November 6th – 10th as students, staff, administration and the community take part in this year’s Homecoming festivities. Gary “Turbo” Webb wins National Award in New York City

Gary “Turbo” Webb received top honors when he was named best “Specialty Music Director of the Year” while attending this year’s College Music Journal (CMJ) Music Marathon over fall break in New York City. Webb competed against other announcers from stations in Montreal, Quebec; Linesville, PA and South Orange, NJ.
