Cold Turkey Mountain Bike Festival
RSU will be “painting the town blue” November 6th – 10th as students, staff, administration and the community take part in this year’s Homecoming festivities.
Monday’s events include the “Safe Sex Mobile” at various locations around campus from 9a to 12N.
Tuesday’s events include the “Paint it Red Shirt and Car Decorating” beginning at 2pm at the Centennial Center Rotunda. RSU Radio will be there promoting the event.
Wednesday’s events include a “Party on the Patio” with food and drinks beginning at 11a.
Thursday’s events include all three campuses; Claremore, Bartlesville and Pryor involved in “Campus Office Decorations”. The top office will win a special prize. That afternoon join RSU athletes as they compete in the “Slam Dunk contest and 3-point shootout” beginning at 1:45p in the Bushyhead gym. And, then at 8p in the Centennial Center ballroom, it’s “Fauxsino Night” where students will get to gamble, play the slots like in Vegas but with play money!
Friday’s events include the “Hillcat Hacker” Fundraiser where students, staff, administration and community members can play, as a team, a round of 18 holes all within the grounds of the RSU Claremore campus. Tee times are at 9a and 1p with registration required. And then at 6:30p, it’s the “Bonfire Bash” cookout and pep rally west of University Village B. This event is open to the public.
Saturday RSU is hosting a “GameDay Celebration” beginning at 11a in front of the Claremore Expo Center. This event is free to anyone who wants to take part in the activities such as family-friendly games, tailgating and music. The RSU Alumni organization is also hosting a cookout for $25.00 where you will also receive a Homecoming t-shirt, a door prize ticket and admission to both the women and men’s games. The women will take on Northwest Oklahoma State University at 2p with the men’s game beginning at 4p. The Homecoming Coronation for RSU’s 2012 Homecoming King and Queen will be held during the halftime of the men’s game. In addition, Claremont Elementary will honor this year’s Prince and Princess. Come and stay for both games and you could win some great prizes including a $100 gift card for some of the best photos taken with your phone camera in this year’s “Social Media Photo Contest.” For more information, click here.
