“We’ve been counting down the days since day 150 and we can’t believe it’s finally here…” This year Houston Gaither and Braeton Hightower have traveled to attend the College Music Journal (CMJ) Music Marathon that is being held in New York City.

For the past five years RSU Radio has sent their Promotions & Music Director to attend the festival. It runs from today through Saturday, and is filled with showcases, seminars, and workshops.

CMJ, 34 years running, is one of the world’s most important platforms for the discovery of new music. One week in October, CMJ features over 1,400 live performances in more than 80 of New York City’s greatest nightclubs and theaters. 120,000 artists, music fans, and industry insiders descend on the city for exclusive parties, over 100 conference events, an Entertainment Business Law Seminar and College Day followed by a mixer designed especially for college and non-commercial radio programmers.

Houston & Braeton will document their days and nights in the city, sending updates on where they’ve been and who they’ve met throughout the week.
