CONCERT FRIDAY NIGHT – RSU CAMPUS

The Student Broadcasting Association’s “JAMBAND” is back and this time, the RSU Student Club is featuring the bands “The Fabulous Minx”, “FM Pilots” and “The Last Slice”. The concert is Friday with the doors opening at 6pm at the Will Rogers Auditorium on the RSU campus. Tickets are $2.00 each and $3.00 for everyone else. This year’s event is being sponsored by RSU Radio, True Alternative Music; Dwelling Spaces; Peace of Mind books and Carl’s Junior. The RSU Student Broadcasting Association is an association of broadcast communication students attending RSU to achieve the following: •To work cooperatively with the university administration and media professionals toward strengthening broadcast education at RSU; •To encourage interest of the electronic media and broadcast education by providing media professionals as campus guest speakers; •To establish a channel for the exchange of information and ideas among broadcast students and electronic media professionals through various panels and seminars; •To promote creativity and healthy competition through various student production contests; •To provide avenues and access to electronic media scholarship opportunities and internships. The SBA include students who are interested in various professional positions in the electronic media. Members work closely with the state Oklahoma Broadcasting Education Association (OBEA) organization, which includes both comprehensive state universities and all regional institutions. The RSU Student Broadcasting Association is affiliated with the OBEA and is specially focused in preparing the next generation of broadcast professionals. Tickets can be purchased by Student Broadcasting Association members or at the door. Come jam at this year’s JAMBAND!
