The Eagles of Death Metal have come to be the center of attention for the worst reasons. When gunmen attacked concertgoers at the Bataclan Theater in Paris, the band was on stage performing. While this is not the way the band wanted to become a household name, they are using this opportunity to uniquely help others in need.

The band has asked any and all musical artists to cover the song “I Love You All the Time” from their latest album, Zipper Down. “Whether you’re Soul or R&B; Hip Hop or Hippy; Garage, Goth, Country, Punk or Pop; Death Metal or DJ; It matters not,” said the band in a recent email. “Your individual musical differences become our collective strength.” All of the publishing profits from these covers will go to the Sweet Stuff Foundation’s Play it Forward Initiative. The foundation is aiding the victims of the Paris attacks, including the band’s merchandise manager, Nick Alexander.

A number of artists have already joined with The Eagles of Death Metal in this campaign, including The Dean Ween Group, Savages, and My Morning Jacket at a recent live show. You can listen to the Dean Ween Group’s version of the song below, and visit the Sweet Stuff Foundation’s website to contribute directly.
