Justice Release “Safe and Sound”, Their First New Track in Five Years

todayJuly 14, 2016

Background

Justice have been mostly silent for the better part of five years, leaving fans to wonder when they would get the group’s next album. The Grammy winning French electronic duo’s came to notoriety in 2007 with their album titled † and a the catchy single “D.A.N.C.E.”, among other singles from the album.  Their last release, a live album titled Access All Arenas, came out in 2013. For their last studio album, listeners have to go back to 2011’s Audio, Video, Disco.

Although the group hasn’t officially announced a new album, the signs point to one in the works. The group signed a new contract in April, and the new track leaked through a DJ set in early July before its official release on July 13.

The new song is driven by a crunchy slap and pop bassline and chorus line vocals. The recognizable Justice style will have longtime fans of the group feeling safe and sound. It just feels like the Justice we have been missing; not in a redundant way, but a familiar way.

You can download  the track on the group’s website, or watch the lyric video below.
