On August 6, The Fur Shop, located in downtown Tulsa, will be hosting a Battle of the Bands. The band who emerges victorious will perform at the Backwoods Music & Camping Festival and share the stage with artists like Nahko and Medicine for the People, Nero, and Big Gigantic.

Local bands Stinky Gringos, Marie Curie, Neromantics, and TFM will go head-to-head on the upstairs stage of the Fur Shop in hopes to represent Oklahoma musicians at the fest.  The crowd will vote on their favorite based on the bands’ performances. The battle begins at 9 in the evening this Saturday and the entry fee is only $5.

Battle of the Bands

Backwoods Music & Camping Festival is a three-day fest filled with music, art, and lots of fun games and activities. It has been nine years in the making, and the fest has grown from a handful of Oklahoma musicians performing together in the woods to a mixture of local artists performing with national acts across multiple stages. The fest will be happening in Stroud, OK on Labor Day weekend, September 1-5.
