Press Play: Wolf Alice

The four-piece alternative rock band called Wolf Alice sounds like the lovechild of folk and grunge.  Out of London, England the band is made up of Ellie Rowsell, Joff Oddie, Theo Ellis, and Joel Amey. The group originally formed as a duo with an acoustic sound in 2010 with Ellie Rowsell and Jeff Oddie.  After releasing a couple of singles and gaining some airplay on BBC Radio 1, Wolf Alice was the most blogged about English band in 2013. Two years later, they released their first album, My Love Is Cool too widespread acclaim.

Recently, they released their second album, Visions of a Life. The album sounds like a plethora of unique sounds while keeping the personalized sound from their first album release.

One of the singles from Visions of a Life was “Don’t Delete The Kisses” which is full of metaphors of teenage love with more of a pop-alternative sound.  Ellie’s vocals go from very melodic to whispery speaking voice and back to melodic for the chorus.  It almost sounds like a Charli XCX song, who is actually featured in the Post Precious remix of “Don’t Delete The Kisses”.
