Oklahoma Room Showcase at Folk Alliance International Conference

Oklahoma’s best in folk and Americana will be heading to Kansas City soon to hit the stage at the annual Oklahoma Room showcase at this year’s Folk Alliance International Conference. Levi Parham, Chris Blevins, Lauren Barth, and Kalyn Fay are among the many musicians that are on the lineup.

The Oklahoma Room entered the Folk Alliance four years ago with the help of Brian Horton, president of Horton Records and the George Kaiser Foundation. Horton Records is a nonprofit that has been a label for the Tulsa-area music scene for years. Folk Alliance is a networking opportunity for musicians which makes it really exciting for our very own local talent to be invited to go.

There will be 20+ established and emerging Oklahoma artists who will be joining artists from all over the country this year. For an artist, being able to attend and play at this conference is an amazing opportunity for them to showcase their talent in front of an international audience of professionals in the industry.

The 2018 Folk Alliance International Conference will be February 14 – 18 in Kansas City, Missouri.
