Vampire Weekend Drop Two New Songs

Background

Being a Vampire Weekend fan is like being on a roller coaster. You have your ups and downs, but you also have time spent anticipating anything happening. The band last released a new album six years ago. Since then they lost one of their founding members, Rostam Batmanglij. The multi-instrumentalist’s work with the band defined the sound of the first three records. Since going solo, Vampire Weekend fans have been left to wonder how the change will effect the sound and direction of one of the most well known college bands of the 2000’s.

In a recent interview, frontman Ezra Koenig announced the band would release a new album called Father of the Bride before the summer. This week, we get our first taste of the direction of this album with two new songs. Check out “Harmony Hall” and “2021” below.
