Animal Collective Announce New Anniversary Live Album

To mark the ten year anniversary of their most influential album Merriweather Post Pavilion, Animal Collective is releasing a collection of live recordings. Ballet Slippers is composed of 12 recordings captured at various concerts during the band’s 2009 North American tour which promoted the album. The release date for Ballet Slippers set for November 22nd and it can be pre-ordered here.

The tracks were edited by Animal Collective co-founder Panda Bear, mixed by Ajar Saggar, and mastered by Dave Cooley of Elysian Masters. In a Facebook post, the band made a sentimental statement alongside the announcement:
