Guthrie Green’s Holiday Market Kicks Off This Friday

The Guthrie Green will host its first holiday market from November 29th through December 6th. Each evening of the market will have a holiday-centric theme, as well as live music, food, warm beverages, and vendors selling their wares in clear igloos surrounding the park. The market is open to all members of the Tulsa community and is intended for all ages. The market will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening.

Here are the themes for each night of the market:

Friday, November 29th: Lights On

The “Lights On” ceremony will be lead by Craig Day, KOTV news anchor. This opening day celebration will also feature live music, Santa Claus onsite, holiday food items, and over fifteen vendors at the holiday market.

Saturday, November 30th: Home For The Holidays Carnival

The Guthrie Green will feature games and festive carnival entertainment.

Sunday, December 1st: Interfaith Holiday Celebration

Choirs and music groups will be performing holiday music.

Monday, December 2nd: A Nightmare Before Christmas Extravaganza

Visitors can check out characters from the film as well as oddities and curiosities vendors.

Tuesday, December 3d: A Country Christmas 

The Guthrie Green will be playing country music all evening and they will also have giveaways.

Wednesday, December 4th: Guthrie Green Gives Back

Various non-profits who serve the Tulsa community will be gathered at the Guthrie Green to accept donations of all kinds. Those who donate will be entered in a giveaway for a chance to win prizes. Christmas carolers will be performing around the park. Visitors can also enter for a chance to win their own Christmas tree from Southwood Landscape and Nursery.

Thursday, December 5th: “A Christmas Story” at Guthrie Green

The Guthrie Green will host a special screening of the Christmas classic “A Christmas Story.” The screening will follow “A Christmas Story” trivia and special-themed items from vendors.

Friday, December 6th: A School of Rock Christmas

The holiday market will conclude with a performance from youth music program School of Rock. The group will perform Christmas classics with a rock spin and classic rock songs for all ages.
