Bright Eyes made a dramatic return last month with “Persona Non Grata” which marked the band’s first piece of music since 2011. Today, the recently reunited group is back with a second look at their forthcoming album. The new single is titled “Forced Convalescence” and features some major star power with contributions from members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Queens of the Stone Age. Connor Oberst and fellow Bright Eyes founders Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott are joined by RHCP’s Flea on bass and QOTSA’s Jon Theodore on drums.
Bright Eye’s highly-anticipated album is currently without a title or release date. Oberst has confirmed that the record will be out sometime this year. If you’re itching for more content from Oberst, check out the self-titled LP he released with Pheobe Bridgers last year under the name Better Oblivion Community Center.
