Grouplove – Canvas Covers

Grouplove lends their infectious alt-pop sound to Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own”.  Vocalist Hannah Hooper tackles the heartbreaking-banger with strength and clarity.

Cults – “Spit You Out”

Cults are back wtih a new single after 2017’s Offering and 2018’s B-Sides and Remixes of the album.  “Spit You Out” was released alongside a mukbang-style video of singer Madeline Follin in front of various backgrounds.

The Bright Light Social Hour – “Feel U Deep”

RSU Radio listeners will no doubt remember hearing “She Wanna Love You” from this group on repeat in 2019.  The Austin-based rockers flirt with psychedelic sounds and shoegaze on last year’s Jude Vol. 1. The lyric video released with “Feel U Deep” dives underwater with bright colors and flowing fabrics.

Tessa Violet – “Bored (feat. Misterwives)

Tessa Violet and Misterwives team up with tons of fans to create this quarantine video.  The DIY vid for “Bored” features lots of selfie footage of lip-syncing, dancing, and being bored at home.

Chloe Moriondo – “Manta Rays”

Chloe Moriondo leans into a Beach Bunny-esque ballad on this track.  Filled to the brim with unrequited love, “Manta Rays” lingers between dream pop and beachy rock.

Jr Jr – “The Gambler”

 

“The Gambler” is the latest taste of Jr Jr following May’s August and Everything Prior EP. This one stumbles through the tragic tale of an experience at a casino.
