Due to everything happening in our country as well as the rest of the world, it isn’t a hot take to declare it a bummer summer. Despite this dark and dreary timeline, music has been a shining beacon. This summer hasn’t come close to stifling the quality of new releases. So far we have that stellar new album Women in Music Part III from Haim, the enigmatic Fantasize Your Ghost from Ohmme, and the stylish Mordechai from Khruangbin. There are a lot of big contenders for song of the summer and next month the list only expands with new albums from Glass Animals, Cold War Kids and Girl Friday. August also holds highly-anticipated debuts from Samia and Maya Hawke. Check out all of the fresh records hitting the market below.
