Concert Couch: Weekly Live Stream Guide – 9/14

There’s more music to be seen! More live performances to be witnessed! Once again, all in the safety and comfort of your own home!

Cain’s Ballroom hosts a free livestream for most of their concerts over on their Facebook page for those who would prefer to stay at home. You can also view all old streams at that page. Here’s a list of what’s coming up to stream from them:

  • JD Simo*** – Concert Live Stream – Tuesday, September 15, 7 PM central – Free                      ***While this link does have ticket sales available, that is for the in-person performance. The live stream is free on the Cain’s Ballroom Facebook page.***
  • See JD Simo perform off of his newest album, JD Simo, which released just this August. The concert will stream on Cain Ballroom’s Facebook page, so you will need a Facebook account and a working smartphone device or computer to view it. To access the live stream, find it the day of on Cain’s Ballroom FB page.
  • Byron Berline Band*** – Concert Live Stream – Thursday, September 17, 7 PM central – Free ***While this link does have ticket sales available, that is for the in-person performance. The live stream is free on the Cain’s Ballroom Facebook page.***
  • View the Oklahoma-native Byron Berline Band perform back in their home town from

Tulsa’s Mercury Lounge is also dabbling in concert streaming, so keep an eye on them for local streams. Here’s their most upcoming online show:

  • Vandoliers Trio – Concert Live Stream – Saturday, September 19, 8 PM central – $12.19              See the Texan Vandoliers Trio live at home. There is a standard ticket cost and then two optional merch bundles for a higher premium of $30 and $50 for varying bundles.

As for other streaming options, many artists are independently streaming their works. Here’s a current favorite you can hear on RSU Radio, Thanya Iyer.

Thanya Iyer – Concert Live Stream – Thursday, September 17, 6:30 PM central – Free

Don’t miss the opportunity to see this virtual concert for free from Thanya Iyer, who recently released her album, “Kind,” just earlier this summer. Thanya and her trio hope to “empower listeners to embrace mindfulness aesthetic beauty and the interconnectedness of all things” with this live show. If you haven’t heard Thanya Iyer, it wouldn’t hurt to check out this free livestream.
