Concert Couch: Weekly Live Stream Guide – 10/12

This week on the concert couch we have a few artists to see, but to start off, there’s a big event coming up just in time for fall break–the Save Our Stages Fest hosted by an organization hoping to raise awareness for a cause important to live music fans everywhere.

Save Our Stages Fest – Festival Live Stream – Wednesday, October 16-18 – FREE

Save Our Stages is a project devoted to saving independent music venues from closing in support of the NIVA (National Independent Venue Association) Emergency Relief Fund. Independent venues need as much support as possible in the wake of Covid-19, so Save Our Stages is hosting Save Our Stages as a fundraiser for independent venues in part with NIVA. This festival will feature artists such as:

  • Foo Fighters
  • Portugal. The Man
  • Phoebe Bridgers
  • Reba McEntire
  • The Lumineers

and even more, all from different independent venues. The goal of the festival is to both raise awareness of struggling venues as well as gain donations to assist them. The live stream is non-profit charity stream and is free to access for all as donating is optional. It will be streamed through YouTube, and you can set a reminder for the first stream here.

Kimbra – Concert Live Stream – Wednesday, October 14, 8 PM CT– $12

See Kimbra live from the LPR virtual venue, coming to you from Greenwich Village, NYC. A single ticket to see Kimbra’s show is $12, but an all-inclusive pass to access all of LPR’s shows is $19.99/month. LPR’s goal is to be a quarantine-friendly music haven that will give you access to NYC underground performances you didn’t know were happening.

The Cure – Past-Show Live Stream – Sunday, October 18, 2 PM CT – FREE

In part with the Teenage Cancer Trust Unseen, The Cure have shared exclusive live footage with the organization which will be streamed on the organization’s YouTube Channel this upcoming Sunday. This is previously recorded footage being streamed, not new live footage, but the hope is to pull in crowds to experience never-before-seen footage of the band and urge viewers to donate to the cancer trust. Donations are not necessary, however, and the show will be free for fans to see.

Irontom – Album Live Stream – Thursday, October 15, 7 PM CT – $10.50 minimum
