Samantha Crain – I Guess We Live Here Now

Okmulgee-bred folk savant Samantha Crain released new EP I Guess We Live Here Now. After sharing a couple of singles, the full effort has finally seen the light of day. Sitting in at four tracks, it’s a short and sweet soundtrack for the spring.

Combsy – Roche Balve

Tulsa guitarist, composer, and producer Chris Combs released Roche Balve late last month.¬†The record was recorded in Switzerland at the Jazzwerkstatt Bern festival back in 2013. With influences like Charles Mingus, Duke Ellington, and Ornette Coleman, this record is a jazz extravaganza like no other. Roche Balve fuses orchestral strings and horns with a lively rhythm section, providing a dynamic effort complete with Combs’ steel guitar.

Hotel Nights – Perfume

Continue the jazz vibes with the latest Hotel Nights single “Perfume.” This smokey slow-burner is accented with sultry sax. If you’re feeling stressed, consider “Perfume” a perfect reprieve.
