St. Vincent Shares Another Single

After dropping teasers “Pay Your Way in Pain” and “The Melting of the Sun”, Tulsa-born St. Vincent is back with another single from her upcoming LP Daddy’s Home. The new track is titled “Down” and it’s groovy rhythm fits snug alongside the record’s previous singles. The guitar savant is continuing her 70’s pastiche with bouncy guitar, synth, and funk grooves.

In addition to “Down”, St. Vincent has also shared a playlist of tracks that inspired Daddy’s Home. The playlist is full songs like the classic radio hits that you hear in rotation at your favorite oldie stations. Some of these vintage beauties include Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach”, Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire”, and The Beatles’ “She’s Leaving Home.” You’ll also find some more contemporary picks like Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab,”  Beyonce’s “Daddy Lessons,” and The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Big Poppa.”

Daddy’s Home releases this Friday, May 15th.
