First Record Store Day Drop Coming This Saturday

It’s that time again… record stores across the nation will be pumping out exclusive releases available only for Record Store Day. RSD 2021 will be held via two different drops– one this Saturday and another on July 17th. Some notable releases coming this weekend include Prospect Hummer from Animal Collective, an Awolnation live album, Hyperspace (2020) from Beck, The Soft Bulletin Companion from The Flaming Lips, a live album from Fontaines D.C. and so much more. Which record stores in Tulsa are taking part? Josey Records for starters. They’ll be commemorating vinyl with live music, DJs, food, and drinks all day. Doors open at 7 AM. You can even RSVP on Facebook. Studio Records boasts their largest selection ever for RSD, you can check their full catalog below.

Oil Capital Vinyl will be offering a few RSD specials starting at 9 AM. Be sure to double-check the store’s COVID precautions.  Starship Records & Tapes will also be celebrating all things vinyl. RSVP for their event here. Blue Moon Discs will have a couple of boxes of Record Store Day releases available Saturday. Lastly, Boulevard Trash will be taking part starting at 11 AM.
