Inaugural Bushyhead Fest Kicks Off Next Week

Bushyhead Farm Summer Festival has everything– float trips, live music, camping, hiking, food trucks, and more, all wrapped up in a message of sustainability. The festival will be held at Bushyhead Farm four miles North of Kansas, OK right across from 20,000 acres of Cherokee Nation wilderness. The sustainability project boasts a fun weekend filled with live music and nature.

The festival kicks off next Thursday with live music from the Red Dirt Rangers w/ Randy Crouch, Joe Mack, Elephant Graveyard, and others. Friday starts with a float trip on the Illinois River, a farm tour, and a yoga lesson before more artists take to the stage. Saturday starts with a botany hike, more yoga, and a presentation on water quality. The festival concludes with sets from The Sutcliffes, Shinyribs, and Green Corn Rebellion. As if the music, speakers, and activities weren’t exciting enough, each day of Bushyhead Fest has a special theme. These costume and camp themes include circus night, fauna and flora, and the roaring 20’s. For tickets, visit the home page of their website.
