Calliope Musicals Rock The Blackbird

Last week, psych-pop group Calliope Musicals kicked off a nationwide tour starting in their hometown of Austin. On Friday, they brought their unique brand of technicolor chaos to the Blackbird on Pearl. Clad in trash bags and glitter, they put on a show for the ages. Get a glimpse of their set below.

While the band was on the 7-hour trek from Austin to Tulsa, I was lucky enough to catch an interview with frontwoman Carrie Fussell. We talked about the issues of touring during a pandemic, both logistical and emotional.
