New Latin Music: Camilo & Evaluna, Anitta & Saweetie, Paulina Rubio and more

Couple Camilo and Evaluna Montaner released a music video for their song, “Índigo“. In the video they announced that they are expecting a baby together. The song is an electro-pop love song that celebrates the couple and the start of their new journey as a family. 

Anitta and Saweetie teamed up on the new single “Faking Love,” a song about saying goodbye to a relationship. 

Anitta is currently finishing her next album ‘Girl From Rio’, which at this moment, has no release date. And Saweetie is also working on her album, which is set to release sometime in the fall. 

After 2 years, Paulina Rubio finally releases a new song called “Yo Soy” (I Am), that she calls a “manifesto.” The song talks about being one’s own self and not hiding anything. It also touches on Paulina’s independence as a single mother. 

Christina Aguilera returns to singing in Spanish on her new single “Pa Mis Muchachas,” a Colombian guaracha song about female empowerment and independence. She is also joined by Becky G, Nicki Nicole, and Nathy Peluso. 

Christina is also working on releasing a Spanish album, the last of which was in 2000 called ‘Mi Reflejo’ (My Reflection). 

Nicki Nicole and Nathy Peluso are current nominees at next month’s Latin Grammy Awards.

Colombian rock band, Diamante Eléctrico are nominated for four Latin Grammy Awards, one of which is for Record of the Year. Diamante Eléctrico will be the opening act for Café Tacvba’s U.S. tour, which starts in New York City on November 1st and runs through the rest of the month.
