RSU Radio’s Top 10 Countdown – 10/10/2025

Rev up those speakers because we’ve got one fresh Top 10! This week’s Countdown features a whopping 5 new artists fighting for their lives! Or at least their spot on the list. At #10 this week, we have the debut album from Bad Self Portraits, I Think I’m Going to Hell, followed by Stella and the Very Messed at #9 with Big Familiar. Speaking of familiars and witchcraft (not forcing this one at all), it’s REVERSE YR CURSE at #8 with Where Are We Going and When Will We Get There? At #7, we have Dave Hause with his album … And The Mermaid – ellipses and all! Then we blast on over #6 to find Rocket’s new album R is for Rocket making a safe landing at #5.

Running it back to #6, we have Big Thief stealing it all – twice – with Double Infinity. Then at #4 we have The Happy Fits feeling a little lovesick with their album Lovesick, followed by Danger in Fives by Wombo at #3. Our runner-up this week is none other than Cut Copy savoring the moment, and at #1 it’s OK Cool with Chit Chat!

This week ends De’Wayne’s 7-week stay in our Top 10, with several of those weeks spent at #1. We also bid farewell to Forth Wanderer’s and their album The Longer This Goes On (apparently not much longer) and Blood Orange’s Essex Honey. Nation of Language’s Dance Called Memory plié’d off our list just as quickly as they Sautered on to it, and Neko Case’s Neon Grey Midnight Green vanished like a Big Thief into the night.

You probably know this week’s Artist to Keep an Eye Out For, so no need to feel baaah-shful; it’s The Mountain Goats’ new single “Cold at Night” backed with “Rocks in My Pocket.” The Mountain Goats have been a big name in indie folk for decades and celebrate their 35th anniversary next year.
