RSU Radio’s Top 10 Countdown – 08/24/2025

You won’t believe it: it’s time for another Top 10! It wasn’t quite a boom, but it wasn’t a bust for Hotline TNT as their album, Raspberry Moon, goes from #9 to #7 this week. Like a thief in the night, Night Moves steals the #6 spot with Double Life after arriving at #10 last week, but they couldn’t catch a wink from Subsonic Eye as Singapore Dreaming soars from #7 last week all the way back to #1! On the flip-side, Frankie Cosmos and Wet Leg couldn’t seem to wake up, staying tucked into their cozy #4 and #5 spots, respectively.

We’re 50/50 this week for new artists, as we welcome 5 new releases to the countdown. At #10, we have The Happy Fits with exhibiting their cruel power with their latest single “Cruel Power,” followed by the Osees lingering close behind at #9 with Abomination Revealed at Last, and although there’s No OK Go this week don’t worry: we have Chit Chat from OK Cool at #8. A little further down the list we have Forth Wanderers in third place with their album The Longer This Goes On, and De’Wayne’s timely album june, released July 30th, at #2.

With so many new bands on the ’10, we unfortunately have to make some room for them. First on the chopping block this week is TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe and his album Thee Black Boltz. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are the next ones leaving the island – Phantom Island that is. After a quick visit last week, we say farewell to Slow Joy’s album A Joy So Slow Sometimes I Don’t Think It’s Coming. OK Go’s And the Adjacent Possible had to “OK go” this week, and Audio Book Club will always be a winner in our hearts with their album Born Loser.

This week we featured Goldkimono’s new album This One’s on the House in our Artist to Keep and Eye out For segment. From The Netherlands, this is Goldkimono’s 3rd studio album after forming in 2020 with members of the band Leaf.
