Cold Turkey Mountain Bike Festival
Original works written and directed by RSU students and faculty will be presented as part of the threatre program’s “Original Recipe” September 19th – 21st, 25th & 26th. Performances will begin at 7:07pm and also at 4pm Sept. 20th and 21st as part of RSU’s Art on the Hill art show and sale.
The plays being presented include “Nowhere and Never” a comedy about a man and woman at the end of the world; “Catching Up” a comedy that focuses on the complexities of a relationship; “Inner Turmoil” a comedy about a playwright who has issues while completing his work; “Lesson Four: The Blackout Sketch” a play that centers around the execution of a sketch comedy convention and “Old Dummy” the story of a mannequins who come to life during a major clothing store remodel.
Admission for the evening performances are $10 for adults, $6 for seniors and $2 for RSU faculty, staff and students with a university ID. The Friday and Saturday afternoon performances are free to the public. All proceeds will go to benefit RSU students attending the annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival regional competition. This marks the 7th year that RSU Theatre has presented “Original Recipe” and is one of the only theatre programs that encourages the performance of these 10-minute original plays.
