2016 Grammy Recap
The 58th Annual Grammy Awards are in and man was it an amazing show. From the opening performance by Taylor Swift to Lady Gaga’s beautiful tribute to David Bowe the stars were certainly shining bright. Alternative music has gradually become a part of the mainstream, garnering its own Grammy award beginning in 1991.

Alabama Shakes won Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Engineered Album, and were nominated for Album of the Year
D’Angelo and The Vanguard won for Best R&B Song, Best R&B Album, and were nominated for Record of the Year
Mark Ronson won Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album.
Muse won for Best Rock Album
