Tulsans will gather to celebrate the life of Steve Pryor on June 4. The Cain’s Ballroom will host musicians, music lovers, and friends for a night to honor and remember the Tulsa guitarist. Pryor passed away on May 6.
Performers will include many prominent Tulsa musicians, such as Brad Absher, Brandon Jenkins, Jamie Oldaker, Scott Ellison, Don White, Matt Kohl, and Paul Benjaman. Radio host and Author John Wooley will be a special guest speaker.
Pryor was a mainstay in Tulsa music circles, and helped establish the Tulsa sound. He shared the stage with the likes of Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Robert Cray, John Hammond, Coco Montoya, Steve Kimock, Leon Russell and a host of others. Pryor is a member of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame.
The doors will open at 7 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.
