The Cain’s Ballroom has announced two major artists headlining the historic venue this October. Spoon and Ryan Adams will be playing on back-to-back nights in downtown Tulsa.
The long-running indie icons Spoon will make their way to the venue on Wednesday, October 11. Since 1993, the group has released nine albums. Spoon’s latest album, Hot Thoughts, was released on March 17. They will be joined by Mondo Cozmo.
Ryan Adams recently gained attention for covering Taylor Swift’s 1989 album, but the singer/songwriter has been pleasing audiences with his own songs for nearly two decades. After ending his time with the alt-country group Whiskeytown, Adams musical styles have veered into pop, metal, rock, and folk. Never settling on one sound, Adams always seems to provide a fresh sound on each new album. His latest album, Prisoner, came out in February 2017. Adams will play Tulsa on Thursday, October 12 with Middle Children.
UPDATE: The Cain’s has also announced Portugal. The Man will be playing in Tulsa on October 5. Lido will open this show.
