RSU is experiencing a mini-renaissance with several events going on in the next couple of weeks. A tidal wave of high arts activities are slated to take place starting the November 9 through November 24.
RSU’s Theatre Program starts off the festivities with 2 one-act plays that premiere November 9 at 7:07 with additional performances the November 10 & 11. The performances will be held in the Will Rogers Auditorium. Tickets are priced at $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $3 for faculty, staff, and students.
Friday November 10, the Department of Fine Arts is opening its Senior Capstone Show. It will be located in the Foundations Gallery in Baird Hall. The reception starts at 5:00 in the evening with musicians from RSU’s music program playing live. The show runs until November 24 which gives students and the public plenty of time to view the artwork.
This won’t be the last time you will see a variety of student produced high art activities like this. Many activities are planed throughout the semester and into the spring. It’s a unique blend of student theatre and art, and you can only see it here at RSU.
