Ramona & The Phantoms – Marmalade & Blood
Tulsa artist Ramona & The Phantoms released full-length Marmalade & Blood on Valentine’s Day. The record is chock full of alt-rock goodness, channeling 90’s grunge, psychedelia and a moody atmosphere. If you’re a fan of 90’s legends like Nirvana and Mazzy Star, this is your record.
Sports – Get A Good Look Pt. 1
Sports finally released Get A Good Look Pt. 1 after dropping a steady stream of singles over the past couple of months. The EP is exactly what you would expect from the Tulsa twosome– funky, groovy, dream pop head bobbers and toe-tappers.
Kodos – Just Another Memory (Bronte Remix)
Kodos’ self-described “new-wave emo” got a makeover on Just Another Memory (Bronte Remix). The EP is compiled of re-worked versions of songs from the band’s debut album Just Another Memory which came out late last year. Norman artist Bronte takes the mid-tempo indie tracks and deconstructs them, allowing space for cool, electronic sounds to bubble up to the surface.
Samantha Crain – Bloomsday
Ahead of her new EP I Guess We Live Here Now, Samantha Crain released new single “Bloomsday.” The catchy folk tune is complete with soaring harmonies and gorgeous pedal steel. Press play and prepare to be uplifted.
Jabee – I Don’t Kill Easy (feat. Cash Lansky)
OKC hip-hop artist and activist Jabee released new single “I Don’t Kill Easy.” Featuring Tucson Arizona Rapper Cash Lansky, the track is complete with relentless bars coasting effortlessly on a chill, lo-fi beat. Stay in the loop and learn more about Jabee’s activism on his instagram, @mynameisjabee.
