This past Saturday, New York garage rockers Parquet Courts played their first in-person live concert since the pandemic began at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City. They whipped out old favorites like “Master of My Craft” and “Borrowed Time,” bringing fans into a frenzy. They also played five new songs, one if which includes new single “Plant Life.” The other four songs previewed that night were, “Walking At A Downtown Pace,” “Just Shadows,” “Black Widow Spider,” and rock ripper, “Homo Sapien.” Catch those performances below.
Their set also included classics “Freebird II,” “Wide Awake,” “Mardi Gras Beads,” from their latest album Wide Awake. While official word on a new album has been scarce, the official release of a couple of singles and a slew of new songs means there’s hope on the horizon. Keep your eyes peeled.
