RSU Radio Bringing New Programming in 2022

RSU Radio is kicking off the New Year strong with fresh programming. KRSC Claremore continues to provide listeners with unique, progressive radio programs with the addition of four new shows next week. The station will also be introducing a new podcast on its network.

The listed programming changes will go into effect Tuesday, January 11th.

Hear “broadcasts from inside your mind” during Synaptic Transmissions. Hosted by RSU Radio’s own Tip Toasty, the one-hour psychedelic experience is set to air every Monday at 9 PM.

Go deep inside the groove during Feel The Drive every Saturday at 7 PM. Your host Micah Phillips will be bringing the best in retro electro, Italo disco, and dark dance music.

On Sunday, you can expect another throwback radio show from The Hermit (host of Stuck in the Psychedelic Era). He brings you Rockin’ in the Days of Confusion– a show that revisits the golden age of rock radio, from the mid-60’s through the mid-70s. Hear it starting at 10 PM.

After rockin’ with The Hermit, settle down for an hour of jazz on the fringe of genre. Notes From the Jazz Underground brings you anything but mainstream with avant-garde jazz, fusion, and modern jazz every Sunday from 11 PM to midnight.

The RSU Radio Podcast Network welcomes a new podcast– A New Alto. The socially-focused series includes conversations about representation, culture, and society from various points of view. The podcast is hosted and produced by RSU Radio veteran Vanessa. Find it under the podcasts tab or wherever you stream your podcasts.

In schedule changes, Tulsa’s Mr. Clean is bringing you an extra hour of face-melting metal during Turbo’s Metal Meltdown. 60 Watts is moving from Tuesday at 8 PM to 11 PM. RSU Radio’s locals-only radio show Only Oklahoma is expanding to two hours. Support local music every Sunday from 4 to 6 PM. After Only Oklahoma, hear International Americana which is being bumped up four hours. A couple of shows will also see re-airings throughout the week. Start your morning commute right with a re-airing of Café Chill every Tuesday at 9 AM. The Latin Alternative will also see more airtime with a second slot each Thursday at  1 PM.

When we welcome new programming, it means we have to say goodbye to others. Gender Journey with Hannah will be ending along the Planet Noveau with Cade. RSU Radio thanks these DJs for providing interesting, diverse content over the years. As time goes on, the station will continue to change and evolve with fresh new programming to continue bringing listeners the most innovative content in college radio.
