Brian Horton

Background

Brian Horton is founder and President of Horton Records, a volunteer, non-profit 501c-3 music organization in Tulsa, OK that helps Oklahoma-based musicians with recording, manufacturing & distribution of music, along with booking, promotion, management & administration. He leads multiple community efforts to promote live music in a variety of settings, including local clubs, outdoor venues, and showcase events like the annual Rock n Folk n Chili Cook Off at Cain’s Ballroom, the T-Town Git Down & Midnite Choogle at Tulsa VFW Post 577, and the growing international-flavored metal festival known as 2 Minutes To Tulsa. Horton was born and raised in Parsons, KS before moving to Tulsa and starting a decades long career in the energy industry, although his passion for all things music and community is undeniable. A long-time music collector, his personal stash has grown to folklorish proportions. This has led him to host a bi-annual record show known as Wax Masters Record Show. The program known as Horton’s Heavy Communion is his debut foray into radio.
