Urban Wilderness: Turkey Mountain Rocks!
Aaand we’re back! Our charts decided to take an extended Thanksgiving break, but it seems they finally awoke from their food coma! Starting things off, Katie Schecter’s Empress is still sitting high and mighty at #10. Then we have Living While Dying by fanclubwallet breaking their way onto the list at #9, followed by fellow newcomer Whitney with her album Small Talk at #8. Even after Getting Killed, it seems Geese is still lingering at #7. Meanwhile, Fionn is sticking around like soap residue with their album Scum at #6.
Ellias Ronnenfelt’s tongue is as sharp as ever, as Speak Daggers sticks at #5, followed by Automatic’s banger album Is it Now? at #4. Snocaps stop just shy of the summit as their self-titled album sits at #3. Next, the latest EP from Dragon Inn 3 (try saying that five-times fast) takes roost at #2. Last, but technically first, we have the blossoming Ivy Boy taking root at #1 with their album Ivy Boy.
Your Artist to Keep an Eye Out For this week is Sara Devoe beckoning us with her album, Come Away, O Human Child. Although Devoe has a discography of dreampop and bedroom pop spanning several years, Come Away, O Human Child sees her finding a whole new sound inspired by indie stars like Haley Heynderickx and MJ Lenderman.
We threw a threw a few more artists to the flames this week, starting off with The Last Dinner Party and their album From the Pyre. Next, we Other Lives’ Volume V takes a dive and doesn’t resurface; and lastly, Jay Som’s Belong just didn’t and decided to move on.
