Tulsa Youth Symphony

Monday May 6th the Tulsa Youth Symphony will present their annual Spring Serenade. The performance will include both the Concert Orchestra conducted by Pete Peterson and the Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ronald Wheeler and Richard Wagner.

The two orchestras are composed of 160 students from various public, private, and home schools throughout northeast Oklahoma. Featured soloists for this year’s Spring Serenade include Violist Yuna Ha, Cellist Reed Reagan and Violinist Alex O’Boyle. The Serenade will include pieces by Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and The Beatles.

The 2013 Spring Serenade will be at Union Schools Performing Arts Center. Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for seniors and children 12 and under.

Upcoming Auditions for the Tulsa Youth Symphony 2013-14 season will be May 14, 15, and 17 in Barton Hall on the Campus of Oral Roberts University. Visit www.tyso.org for more information on auditions and the Tulsa Youth Symphony.
